Hollis Heat: Oil, Propane, and Heat Pumps
Hollis roads do not all have gas. Merrimack HVAC covers the town next door without pretending every house matches a subdivision furnace.

Fuel first, then the symptom
Merrimack is subdivision forced air, much of it originally gas or propane along the build-out. Hollis is stone walls, longer drives, and a lot of oil. A heat pump is a serious option on those roads precisely because a delivery truck is the backup plan. The symptom still matters: no heat is not a sales visit.
This page exists because Hollis has no HVAC site of its own. Bedford does, which is why Bedford is not written up again here. Licensed technicians do Hollis work. Tell them the fuel before they load the truck.
Oil tanks and empty-tank theater
A surprising number of no-heat calls are an empty tank or a sludge problem at the bottom of one. Check the gauge if you can do it safely, and say what you saw. A Hollis driveway in a snowstorm is a long way to travel for a delivery you actually needed.
Heat pumps on a cold lot
If you already have a heat pump, say whether it is the only heat. Backup strips or a propane furnace in the same house change the diagnosis when January supply air feels cool. That cool air can be normal. It can also mean the backup never came on. The thermostat model helps, the guess does not.
Hollis, written clearly
Hollis, fuel, heat on or off, and whether the drive is long or steep. Merrimack's school-night scheduling habits are not a map of Hollis. The contractor confirms the visit after the request, not before.
Hollis requests
Merrimack HVAC starts a Hollis request with a conversation before any visit is discussed.
